When was the last time your heart broke before God?
Sometimes, we lose the ability to feel the sacred, as in the story of Psalm 78.
Psalm 78:64 warns us
: silence can be a sign of spiritual indifference. Instead of lamenting, we are just waiting in line.
Pain is part of life
. God created us to cry. Tears are a gift that acknowledges loss and the fragility of life.
Sin dulls
our hearts. Losing the ability to feel is a spiritual death before physical death.
Cultivate sacred spaces
for pain. Create moments of silence and reflection where you can cry and be present before God.
Intentional empathy
is essential. Remember to weep with those who weep and offer genuine support to those suffering around you.
Practice regular repentance
and seek heart transformation. God can restore the ability to feel and connect.
Recognize the beauty of sensitivity
. Jesus shows us that those who mourn are blessed, for they keep their hearts soft and receptive to God's love.
